I have been kind of dreaming, wishing the Dometic Duo Therm 13.5k ac unit in my trailer was a bit quieter.
I see there are 2 units that have separate condenser and evaporator blowers that claim to be much quieter.
Attwood and a new unit to market made by Furrion.
The Furrion unit looks intriguing. Being new to the market, doesnt look like there is much info.
Is anyone running one yet, if so how do you like it?

They might be better than the other Furrion stuff like their TV's, Audio components, shore power connectors, and appliances, but I doubt it. They're a partner of Lippert. Two peas in a pod, or two peas in a junkpile.

Contract junk from China manufactured by the lowest irresponsible bidder, then branded.

Stick with Coleman, they been making them for years and have a very long track record.

The problem with Coleman and Dometic is that they take their customer base for granted, thus may innovation R.I.P.

This is why they fail to offer a far more efficient inverter compressor...

Yep, made in China. Everything Furrion markets comes in a container just like the converters that every builder installs in the new builds. Made in China.

Only appliances in my RV that aren't Chinese are the water heater, furnace and the stove top but all the electronics in each one is...Chinese. Even my propane regulator is and so are the supply hoses.... and people on here whine about 'China Bomb tires'.....lol

I quieted our Dometic substantially by eliminating the dump discharge opening. It is supposed to be for rapid cooling but that is where all the noise comes from.

I removed the cover and put a piece of foam in the opening. I used duct tape (the real foil stuff) to seal it and put the cover back on. The noise reduction was amazing.
