5 star wrote me a great tune for my v10 took it on a 3000 mile trip gained one mpg that isn't what I was looking for.. the drive ability was 100% better all that shifting has stopped. they just added to the tune to turn up the torque a little more and changed the cruse control. they are great help in download the tune from the email.I am not real good on a computer they helped me through it..thumbs up for 5 STAR TUNES

What adjustment to the cruise control would be of benefit?

"on a 3000 mile trip, gained one mpg, that isn't what I was looking for."

So, . . . . the big question. What WERE you looking for? That's HUGE (if it's true) but you're not impressed? Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

OP sounds like a paid reviewer. Strange posting.

I think the OP was more interested in the improved shifting points that 5 Star Tune provides. If anyone buys a 5 Star Tune for improved gas mileage, they haven't read the reviews available on line. Some do report a little improvement, but the majority of praise is for the improved shifting performance and perhaps a little better acceleration when needed.

And, I'm a happy 5 Star Tuner user!

5 Star Tuning did wonders to my motorhome, 08 Bounder V-10, 5 Speed trans, it has the full Banks Power Pack System so I did notice a little better mpg but not much, I also run the next grade up in octane, it runs so much better with higher octane and the transmission shifts great and holds in 5th longer than stock mode.

I have found the best way to get better mpg is to drive it like your 99 years old..

I had the 5 Star Tune done on my last class C. Yes it did improve the mileage a tad.

The important thing it did was while on cruise control it took a significant (read that as real grade) to cause the trans to downshift. When it did downshift on rolling hills like on I90 in South Dakota the tachometer did not go to 4k rpms. I suspect part of that was due to the extra torque the engine was producing along with other computer wizardry.

All of the above was with Tow/Hall on.
