So is it a credit card thing or a gas station thing that I can only put in 25 gallons before the pump shuts off? Wells Fargo card does the same thing. Yes I know I can just hang up the pump and start another transaction, just not very convenient. This is at my local Holiday gas station.

Many credit cards and or gas stations have either a gallon limit or dollar limit.
If that's the biggest problem in my day I can handle that.

It's a gas station limit.

I've heard it both ways. and I've never run into a gallon limit...the limits have always been in whole dollars...usually $50 or $100.

Never heard of a gallon limit. But 25 gallons at $3/gallon puts it right in the neighborhood of $75 which is a common cutoff point for some stations.

I usually just roll out. If that is their limit then it is my limit too.
Otherwise go inside and ask for a fill up.

I just re-swipe and keep filling. Much faster than going inside and possibly waiting in line.

It's a gas station or company thing, my card gets a complete fill up at most places, $75 at a few, $100 at a few, same card, so it's not a card thing.

That's why I carry two (different financial institutions') credit cards at all times!

With two cards, I can pretty much be assured of being able to fill up our RV's 55 gallon tank anywhere, anytime, with no hassles. My first choice is always the card that gives me 5% (percent - not cents) off on all fuel purchases. The 2nd card is used for backup, but only gives the standard 1% credit on all fuel purchaes.

Keeping life as hassle-free as possible is the name of the game.
