Just wanted to inform all that we have just purchased to us our retirement motor home. It's a 2006 Bluebird Wanderlodge 4510 Lxi. My wife and I finalized the purchase Friday night and will travel down in several weeks to take ownership. This was a private sale.

We've joined the WOG and have talked to several very helpful folks over there. My father owner several coaches in his lifetime and I do have some experience with the nuances of these units.

I am looking forward to hopefully many years of traveling the county with my wife in our new to us unit. I will be asking questions from time to time. Many thanks to all.

Congrats...are you going to pull the Passport as a Mother In Law Suite?

This post is my opinion (free advice). It is not intended to influence anyone's judgment nor do I advocate anyone do what I propose.

That is a really a top line unit. I occasionally look at them on RV Trader. It should last forever, without a lot of the issues of the new powertrains. It is a great unit whose previous owners have already taken the big depreciation hit.
I used to occasionally have to drive by the Bluebird factory in Fort Valley when they were finishing up the Wanderlodges in 2006 and 2007 and they just looked great.
As I understand it during the 1990's and early 2000's Bluebird was having financial problems and had several different owners and the company decided to get out of the RV business and concentrate on school buses.
Enjoy your new purchase, I am jealous.

Congratulations on your new coach. Here's a bit of Wanderlodge trivia. When the United States was hunting Sadam Hussein, a picture of him emerged seated in a Bluebird. There was very little background in the picture, but an American owner recognized it as a Bluebird and alerted the Pentagon. But by the time they we're able to act, he had retreated to his rat hole.

We really like the passport but will sell it this spring.

This coach had a lot of updates with 6 new tires, recall fix on the front axle, new inverters, new front paint, etc. Comes with a warranty until 2022 or 92k miles. It currently has 47k miles.

Lots to learn. Excited to get it. Thanks to all for the kind words. I will be needing help in the future.
