I wouldn't worry about showing my receipt, unless of course I nicked something now and again! In fact, I would prefer that they all checked, as it would keep the pilfering down, and give the stores more of a chance to keep the prices down.

Sure it will. Most folks that want to steal are so stupid they will put stuff in cart between register and door???

We have seen it at the Twin Falls, ID., Henderson, NV. and here in Yuma, AZ. It seemed they were checking slips of folks that had unbagged items in their cart. 12 packs of soda, bags of dog food, etc.

Nice 'human interest' story by the OP. Let's not turn it into a Walmart bashing, or any other store bashing, just because some of the stores choose to check receipts. Many stores do it and if it cuts down on ANY shoplifting, which we eventually pay for, it is worth it, imo.

Now, any other interesting positive stories? [emoticon]

Walmart has been my "go to" store for years. i do most of my shopping, including food, there. If they don't carry a product I want, I simply go somewhere else. I've always appreciated their attitude towards RVers, and found myself "wally docking" many evenings during my travels.
