SWMBO (she who must be obeyed) is looking at a used Cougar 29RES. If someone has one of the 29's (any floor plan would do) I'm looking for info on the hitch height. Specifically, when the unit is sitting level, what is the measurement to the bottom flat plate portion of the kingpin? Trying to figure out if a 2017 F-250 4x4 is too high to tow this on the level.

Any other general info on this model line would be appreciated.

I had an 01 Cougar I towed with a half ton, and I'm pretty sure it will be nose high on your truck. Sorry I can't help with measurements, I sold it in 04.

Sorry I do not have the exact measurements but...
We have a 2014 Ford F250, Heavy Duty, Snow plow package and new BF Goodrich AT snow tires... these specs tends to raise the truck box height.
We tow two separate i) Cougar 2014, 327 RES and a ii) Cougar 2005, 285 EFS.
We had two separate dealers check our measurement and after a slight pin box extension adjustment (raised it by two adjustment holes) on the 285 EFS we determined that we were only 1/4 inch nose high. Not enough to warrant a lift kit.
We also weight the trailer with only 86 pounds difference between front and rear axle. I have also noticed that a few late model Cougars are now coming out with the Lippert axle alignments kits as factory standard equipment. These kits tend to raise the trailer uP to 2 inch.
So to answer to your question, DEPENDS... only way to find out is to do a physical comparison.

I towed a cougar half ton with a 2014 2500 ram 2x4 and was nose high by a large margin. My back wheel broke away in Biloxi Ms taking the sheared hub with it. We were lucky it happened in town. We ended up stuck there for a week while awaiting parts. The back axle, apparently, was carrying too much weight causing the bearings to fail and they had been re-greased only six months prior to this incident.
