Just as a curiosity, why do you think so many threads, on a host of topics, are started in Forum Posting Help and Support? Is it through a default of some sort?

The directions for posting a new topic, thread etc could be clearer, more options. When I open RV Net, my page shows, in the Blue Bar, Newest, Active.....Forum Posting Help..
My first time I clicked on Forum Posting... And started my post. And it was in the Forum Posting Help... Topic/thread, it does not give an option to change threads/topic from there.
I've found that you actually have to get into a specific forum/thread (c-class , towing etc) and go to Post New topic in the grey/black line,
I think that there should be an option, when doing the initial post , to pick/change the area you want it posted in.

Because all they see is Help and Support.
Maybe it should be reworded?

IIRC, In the old days I believe it was the default initial landing. This gave the moderator a chance to welcome someone new to a forum how everything works. Now there is too much traffic and they get a slap for posting there. Oh how the internet has changed. I speculate it still is the default landing. Have been tempted to sign up with new fictitious everything just to see. Too much trouble.

I have asked several new posters and never a response on how they actually got to that sub-forum first. Did they get dropped there? Or did they get dropped somewhere else and actually made an effort to select Forum Posting Help.

We may never know.....

Because it is at the top of the page, in red block letters. Suggestions to rename or move the link have been dismissed by the admin.

Agree. "Forum Posting Help and Support". Does seem pretty clear though. [emoticon]

Because if you click on "Forum Posting help and support" a screen pops up and the button on the top left corner says "Post new topic" so Click and they are off and running. No further reading required. Forum Designers are not the sharpest knives in the drawer.
