Does any one know where I can find wiring diagram for electric steps. Previous owner did some "modifications" and cut some wires off.

I am guessing you have a Kwikee step.

Bless those former owners who cut wires off, for they know not what they do.

Just so you know.. On my Steps there is a wire that is cut... Still not sure what it is for. the reason it's cut is it has no use... It appears to be an "Extra wire" near as I can tell.

Home is where I park it.

The 16 gauge purple wire is not normally used. It is used on some for optional(extra)step lights.

The previous owner cut the wire from control box and run wire straight from motor to battery with alligator clips. It could be that control box give up and he bypass. I got some work to do with that.

I would not condem the controller without doing some testing. Quite often there could be ground issue or the magnetic door switch.
Control box should be available from Colaw RV salvage. Colaw
What color is the controller?

Since you have a 2001. The step controller is no longer available. This link points you to the ONLY and best solution for getting your step back to OEM. Doug
