We are looking at a Luxe 5th wheel toy hauler that has a weight of 26,000 lbs and our SXS is 2,000 lbs. Plus the toy hauler holds 60 gallons of fuel for the generator. We are getting conflicting info from dealers regarding how much weight it can pull. Some say 23,000 lbs and others say 30,000 lbs for the same M2 106 350 hp. Anyone know the truth?

How much gcw are you willing to pay for at local licensing facility? That's uour limit?
On the other hand, many MDT/HDT trucks have multiple gcwr's, depending upon if final use is local vs over the road. Then one can really confused you or others figuring out differences.
I personally would have no issues in general, hooking up a 30k trailer to that truck, depending on a few unknown factors at this moment.

The dealer’s oral representations aren’t worth anything. Get the manufacturer’s numbers.

We live in Florida and have a 2nd home in Tennessee. We will have to check which state it will be better to tag.

There are several discussions addressing the truck you seek. I read several and found this statement concerning the Sportchassis .. Use the search function.

Four different manual trannies and four different auto trannies.

I would contact Freightliner with your trucks vin number. They can tell you how much weight the truck can tow.

That Freightliner might not have the balls to handle a trailer like that. You might have to get new F350 to haul that thing. Maybe even a dually ... just to be safe.[emoticon]
