I had them on my half ton, replaced them with air bags. Like IdaD said, the softer suspension in my half ton did not work well with the Timbrens. I don't know if the gap was right but it wasn't a comfortable ride when empty. I had the proper gap according to their instructions but maybe my springs were getting weak because the Timbrens would engage with almost every bump I would hit. This was on my old truck, I went straight to airbags with my current truck.

I had no complaints with the Timbrens when I had my ATV in the bed and my camper hooked up, it was the unloaded ride I couldn't handle.

I really like the lower stable loads on my truck they take the sway out of the ride.

I got talked into putting Timbrens on 3 of the work vans. They did keep the vehicles more level with a heavy load, but that's the only good thing I can say about them. They effectively reduce suspension travel and all 3 had significantly rougher ride. I'd go with air bags, or just have better springs installed.

I had the Timbrens removed from one of the vans & had another leaf installed in the spring pack & it was a big improvement. As I recall, the added spring was not much cost difference than having the Timbrens installed.

I have 2 sets used on 2 different F250 trucks. Unloaded ride is rough. If anyone would like to own them, they are free to those visiting NE Florida.

I installed them on our previous truck (2013 Sierra 2500HD D/A). They did not affect the unloaded ride and did exactly what was needed with 3,000 lbs. pin weight on the truck - stopped the bottoming out on bridge transitions, etc. The rig also felt more stable with less bouncing. I was very happy with them.

They work great on my 2012 Duramax. Would buy again in a heartbeat.

What is the reasoning getting away from air bags ??. Have ran two sets of aftermarket air bags Firestone ,and Airlift. They both have held up well, and worked equally well.

Looking for a change ??

Tired of airing up before a tow, and airing down for all other driving.. getting lazy I guess?

From everything I have read you will NOT be happy going from bags to Timbrens.

With my 11 HO DRW RAM I ran 5psi unloaded with stock like ride. With 4,500# pin added the pressure went up to 30psi and was enough to keep the truck "LEVEL" and setting on overloads as it was designed to be. Rode GREAT!!!

I had in cab controls with separate side controls to make minor adjustments.

Adding bags and Bilstein's made the loaded ride AWESOME!

Too many "THINK" they need to air bags to have trucks rear when loaded at unloaded ride height. BAD way to go.
