OK, picky people, let's qualify the "manual" override!!! It's an "electronic manual override"
Not the least bit picky - you push the buttons with your fingers. Last time I checked, fingers are manual.

1. Pushing the Controller inside button 8 or 9 times then holding it down until both lights flash, puts the system in override. That just means the ONLY current going to each motor is the 12 volt positive and Negative. The counter system is removed from operation. IF both motors or just one operates in this mode, that means the wiring is probably open or shorted. If not wiring, you have a bad motor
2. With the controller motor wire harness disconnected from the controller, 3 or 4 people can manually push the room in or out. Unless you have a locked up motor.
3. If the room is extended when it failed, then you can easily get to either motor to remove to push the room in
4. If the room is retracted, it is impossible to remove the motors, without getting the room to extend 3 or 4 inches to remove the motor retaining screw.
5. If some idiot has worked on the system before and did NOT use the correct 1/2 inch motor retainer screw and use just any longer than 1 inch screw to retain the motor, then you may have to use a air chisel to get the motor out when room fails retracted. We just had this happen at our shop. the idiot used a long screw previously and after awhile that screw shorted out the armature in the motor. Doug

OP here. Yes it is a Schwintec closet slide. That other brand was created by fat fingers and small Kindle. Thanks for the helpful responses. I have reset the controller with no joy. Double checked for obstructions. Glad it is stuck in rather than out.Checked switch on panel to be sure all wires were connected. Cleaned 30 amp fuse.

I'm hesitant to get deeper into it on the road. Wll be in Fl for a month soon. Am going to have it looked at then if needed once I go through your suggestions again. Thanks very much.
