A lot of seniors, like me, are living in RVs. If the states and feds close the campgrounds we will be paying higher park rates to stay in crowded private campgrounds that will probably raise rates even more and surely won't be less safe from a health standpoint. I sent a respectful message to the Corps Of Engineers yesterday telling them my opinion. Seniors have clout at the ballot box.

Believe the state of TX has BLM land available. Would assume you could move your RV to those sites. Plus most if not all states and federal parks limit stays to two weeks. So, when your two weeks are up where do you plan to go? The ballot box comment makes no sense. Stop thinking of only yourself but rather the good of the rv population as a whole. Good grief, if you can afford an RV, you can afford a private RV park rate.

As of yesterday the COE had not shut down campgrounds. Truth be told there is no reason to do this... Sites are generally far enough apart to be "Socially distant" you can wave but you got to get out and walk some to shake hands.
Home is where I park it.
2005 Damon Intruder 377 Alas declared a total loss
after a semi "nicked" it. Still have the radios

You're entitled to express your opinion, too. The ballot box comment makes sense to people with common sense.

Actually, many who can "afford" an RV, have problems affording private RV rates. Especially those of us on fixed income, with no hope of annual raises. Many have sold their equity in a fixed home purchase an RV home, many for economic reason, expecting lower costs than that of a fixed home.
