The last couple years my big slide has been getting more difficult to bring in. It's so bad now that it comes in about a foot, then stalls and will barely move a millimeter at a time as I click the switch. This is the point where the slide needs to rise an inch.

I climbed underneath to get a good look at the mechanism. I saw that the slide's electrical conduit was bottoming out on the hole cut in the frame for it. My rig is 18 years old, and I've never used any kind of slideout support, so I thought maybe it's simply sagging with age and could use a little help.

I first tried a silicone lube on the entire underside where it contacts a floor piece. That didn't help at all. Sooo.. I bought a couple slide out supports, cinched them up tight, and tried bringing the slide in with them holding it up. Voila, success!. As the slide comes in, the supports simply tip over and fall. They provide just enough lift to get the slide over the 'hump', and the rest of the way is fine.

In case you're having the same issue, maybe this will work. Will I use a support all the time? Not sure.. it's never been recommended on here. I don't know if this is a fixable problem, but I'll be asking about it.

Very interesting results - thx for posting. I suspect your slide could use some adjustments to make it life easier when moving.

Since the issue has been getting worse with time, I'm thinking a wear item, that is no longer allowing the slide to glide freely up and over the hump. Using the supports likely takes some weight off, until over the hump, letting the slide move easier. I'd not wait too long to get this checked by a good/recommended mobile tech.
