None of those can be mitigated by any action. COVID19 can.

None of those are as contagious.

This will not be the end of the world, but it is irresponsible to downplay it as well.

Diabetes can be mitigated by less beer and ice cream.

Yes, that does put it in perspective, but we don't simply refuse to deal with things that have the potential to kill people because other things kill more people.

Made my day to not see bacon on that list [emoticon].

Besides, it any residual physical effects of catching and surviving this that I don't want to have to live with.

I know what you are saying and agree but....
Most all of those things can be prevented by what we eat, drink and do. Or at least to some degree.

None of those have the ability to tank the economy like Covid-19 already has....none of those stand to tax the health care system to the max and overwhelm things to the point where health care professional will have to make a decision on who lives and who dies . People may not only loose their lives but the economic impact will also lose people their jobs, homes, savings, retirement savings, cars, trucks, rv's....you name it. Seems many folks are just too narrow minded and selfish to take it serious enough...........let's see you post again in 3 to 6 months and see if you've changed your attitude and perspective on things.

Nothing wrong with trying to calm people down a bit from the hysteria going on. Yes it serious and I am taking precautions but I am not living in fear.

Wrong. The flu can be mitigated by the exact same behaviors as is being dictated now. And it's more deadly. Some pneumonias as well. Suicides can be mitigated by early intervention, diabetes by diet and weight control, and accidents by staying in a padded room, which is where this whole lockdown mentality is headed. Hammerboy has hit the nail on the head. Every time someone tries to be a voice of reason on here some other Paranoid Petunia accuses him of being stupid, careless or uncaring, all of which are untrue. Some of us are just more pragmatic than others.
