Not everyone has access to a hoist or cherry picker and any lifting equipment

Anyone with a 5th wheel already has a lfting devcice....the 5vr front landing gear

I pull the pins on hith bedrails...raise the front landing gear lifting the hitch up via king pin high enough to clear truck bed then drive out from underneath it.

Repeat in reverse and set hitch back down onto bedrails...

Hitch hangs from king pin w/o issue.

Not quite sure why my "NEXT" B&W will be lighter???

My current RVK3600 25k/6,500# pin weighs in at 229#. Base is 154# and head is 75#.

Hehe...I was just getting at the fact that you might want the same 153# hitch that Ford Truck Guy has after purchasing your next truck.[emoticon]

I used my right thumb to remove and install mine along with the Demco picture frame as a single unit, along with a little help from HF. Chris

I few years ago, I " manned up" removing my super glide in 1 piece...

Went into surgery the following week to repair a hernia... Thats that last time I did that... Up till this past year, if I needed to remove, I broke it ( Superglide ) down to as many pieces as possible... Head...Swivel...2 way tubes...base...rails.... [emoticon]. Live And Learn

WOW didn't mean to stir up a hornets nest. For those who want the physical workout, have at it. Those that hang it from the trailer, I don't care to leave mine out in the weather. Those that leave it in the truck, I use my truck for other things so I don't care to have the hitch in all the time. Another way of looking at it is. You can work hard or work smart. I chose smart for this job
