Bill Gates: Returning to normal life in April is not realistic

I think we will need to wait until May for this to get over the hump.

In my opinion as long as the number of deaths plus the number of those who recovered (as determined by positive tests) remain a small percentage of the total number of those affected (based upon positive tests) we are not close to being ready to get back to normal. The percentage of those who have tested positive and we know the outcome of this disease is only 2.4%.

To Our Valued Parks Guests,
Beginning Saturday, March 28, all state parks in South Carolina will be closed through Thursday, April 30. The closure is designed to keep visitors and employees as safe as possible by mitigating the spread of COVID-19.

Visitors who are currently occupying campsites and cabins can remain throughout the duration of their rental reservation as long as they continue to practice the state's recommendations for social distancing.

All new reservation arrivals, however, from Saturday, March 28, to Thursday, April 30, will need to be cancelled or rescheduled to a later date.

If you have a reservation at a South Carolina State Park arriving between
March 28, 2020 - April 30, 2020 and would like to reschedule your reservation to a new arrival date of May 8, 2020 or later, please call our Call Center (1-866-345-7275; Mon, Wed, Fri (9:00am - 5:00pm).

If you do not wish to reschedule your reservation at this time, you may cancel your reservation online at southcarolinaparks.com at no charge.

Important: Any reservation that has not been cancelled or rescheduled by the close of business on Friday, April 3, 2020 will be automatically cancelled and refunded at that time.

From the Virginia State Parks website:

Virginia State Parks are open for day-use activities.

As always, we have the safety and well-being of our visitors and staff in mind. We continue to monitor the situation with COVID-19, and this page will be updated as new information becomes available.

Effective Friday March 27 overnight facilities and restrooms will be closed through April 30. The closure includes all cabins, campgrounds, camping cabins and yurts, as well as restrooms and bathhouses.

We all have different aptitude when dealing with medical issues

One site is an absolute standout

It has articles ranging in thoroughness from the most fundamental basic information to complex white papers that are a challenge even for medical experts.

This is the go-to site from casual patient beginners to the CDC WHO The editors of the Merck Manual and the Mayo Clinic.

Don't let it buffalo you. I give it a full five stars. Unprecedented for a stubborn critic

My go-to place is Johns Hopkins as well...

I check this map out every morning.

You can click on the US in the left column and it will tell totals for the country. Then zoom in on the map and click on your county to see how many they've found. The numbers can be shocking enough, but we know for a fact that we have way more in our county than is on the map - people still can't get tested.

At this point our area looks like there's not much so could be one of the areas that might be opened up for business by Easter. [emoticon]

Thank you for your valued input! We are staying hunkered down in FL simply because we are closer to grocery stores - waiting for things to settle down before we go back to Michigan. You've given us a good formula and map to determine when that might be.

On edit - I'm going to mention this for all the weather geeks: I just noticed that WunderMap has a special "red coronavirus" icon on the top left of the weather map to see the case counts in each county
