Do you get a lot of people flashing their lights at you if you tow at night?

I don't know about RAM but Ford offers rear blocks to lower the rear in one-inch increments. I suspect RAM and GM offer the same. The 2017+ F350 SRW 4wheel drive is approx. 3 inches high to look more macho. Therefore it can be lowered the same amount with the appropriate mod. Aftermarket folks also offer lowering blocks for the rear as well. Search the Inet and you will find a lot of options.

We lifted our 5th wheel 4 inches two years ago when we bought it. I had a fabricator weld a 4 inch subframe with support bracing and exact matching spring hangers. Unbolted the springs from the hangers, lifted the trailer up and bolted the subframe in the stock hangers. Then bolted the springs into the new hangers under the subframe. It has worked perfectly! If I ever sell the trailer and someone doesn’t need the lift it can be unbolted, removed and put back to stock height.

I ended up up having it lifted by a local spring shop. They added 4” by 2” steel below the frame, added cross bracing and welded the spring hangers to the new steel. Did a very neat and clean job. I’m still 2” nose high, but I can now get in the driveway.

I cannot understand why truck manufacturers make trucks too tall. It seems wrong for me to raise the center of gravity of my trailer just to accommodate the taller bed on new trucks. I've now decided to just keep my 05 Ram 2500!!

A lot of folks were complaining about just that and Ford listened.. My "20" sits 2" lower that my recent "15" sat...

Lee, it looks to me like the pin is directly above the axle. He has an extended pin pox I think.
