Not exactly sure what camp sites are open
from Vegas to Reno. Husband has a doctor appointment in July. Driving down in our 24 ft RV. See the doc then camp as we head back home. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Your research may have discovered this Inyo NF campground chart. If not see...

The Highway US 95 from Reno to Las Vegas does not enter the Inyo NF. It is dry country and not that interesting compared to US 395 in the Owens Valley. No problem finding a place to pull off the road and boondock. There a couple of roadside RV parks in places like Tonopah and Beatty.

Have stayed at Whiskey Flats but there is a little one in Mina, Tonopah, Beatty, and Amargosa Valley depending on how far you want to drive bu Hawthorne is about half way. If you stay in Hawthorne be sure to visit the two muesumes they have
