X2 on the mold armor. I have la awesome also but for awnings mold armor is more awesome! Great stain remover too.
It will bleach your clothes and burn your skin so be carefull.

I spray the dirty/molded areas with Awesome Orange from the dollar store. Then use a wash pad on a wand and car wash soap to wash it all off. Then rinse with a hose. It comes right off.

If we go more than a month between trips I cover the ends with soda bottles (see link). This really works well. It's not fool proof but over the course of a winter the dirt/mold on the awning is minimal and easy to clean.
