I know some people really like Cracker Barrel - but man their food is greasy... I think there are better places for breakfast.

LOL At the end of the day traditional breakfast is supposed to be greasy.
Make no mistake about it Bacon, eggs, sausage, grits, pan cakes and biscuits are greasy foods!

As others have said, pre departure, spend a few minutes checking out 3 or 4 potential options for stopping at say 3 hrs 4 hrs or whatever suits you? Then just google earth quickly to zoom in on the parking so you can see how much/easy for access and exiting.
For us we do a huge combination of Walmarts, CB's, HDs, Lowes, Cabelas (one of our preferred) and many other businesses that we can usually frequent to thank them for their hospitality of overnighting. We aren't great eating out folks so restaurant or not is not a requirement.

Tell us where we can get a breakfast that's comprised of eggs, bacon, sausage, and the like that's not greasy? Face it, restaurants serve greasy food -- if it wasn't greasy (especially those breakfast items) it would be pretty tasteless!

Glad were not the only one's, LOL last time we ate there we went with a group so we went just to be polite. We both got the home made Dumplings... yeah greasy,soggy didn't even look like dumplings.

When we travel the CB breakfast is the meal of the day till we stop after 8 to 13 hours of traveling. As stated I like to start at 4 am and by the time I wake up and it becomes daylight I am ready from a meal. We will then travel to our spot for the night. Long drives I have become accustomed to as we cross the US and go back before stopping at our winter spot.
CB always offers the same food , quantity, and quality time after time.
The one other place we go is Dennys, they are often are our fuel stops and they do a good breakfast especially in October when you can get pumpkin pancakes.

Most have RV parking but it tends to be about 35-40 foot long sites. My rig is 38' plus towed. You can see the problem.
Last time out at a Truck Stop (love's across from where I am now) I parked the car beside the Rig protecting the main slide.
Home is where I park it.
2005 Damon Intruder 377 Alas declared a total loss
after a semi "nicked" it. Still have the radios

cracker barrel by my house has some of the worst food and service I've ever seen anywhere. Locals hate the place. They get enough transient traffic to stay open.

I think a lot has to do with management of a particular location, as well as the local labor pool. After all, every CB serves the same exact food, so it 'should' be consistent, but when poor management and incompetent employees enter the mix, it can indeed be terrible.
