I jacked up the camper without realizing one of the turnbuckles had not been removed. Once I corrected my error I removed the pack rat that was hiding between the camper and the bed.

Spun it around on the driveway to raise the front higher than the rear to drain my fresh water tank, then spin back around to sanitize, and refill. I don't like to fill the tank with the front higher as it allows me to overfill the tank and then water is running out of the overflow every time I brake.

Used it for the purpose everybody dreads. Loaded it up with food, staples and clothes, installed the extension hitch, loaded it up, hooked up the Jeep and bugged out. The dry lightning has caused big fires in Sonoma, Napa and Lake counties and we left before mandatory evacuations were made.
Tonight is where our brave firemen have made their stance. Our home and many others is at their backs. I think we have it better than most who have just evacuated with our camper!
