Run a new hot wire and forget the old one.

You said the five fronts, so there should be a working side yellow front on each side near enough.

I was thinking of running a new wire from the light switch at the dash but have not come up with an easy way to do that

Just means a longer wire to the nearest working light and more length of white Gorilla tape!
