The latest issue of RV Business Magazine featured a new company called Alliance RV. Currently they are building one model of 5er and introducing a toy hauler this Fall.

What stood out for me is their philosophy on quality. Everybody talks quality, but these guys build an aluminum-framed trailer with Azdel sides and rear, one piece fiberglass front cap and PVC roof. Suspension is reinforced spring hangers, Mor-Ryde equalizers, HD wet bolt shackles, G-rated tires and optional disc brakes.

Of course they have all the bells, whistles and shiny stuff you want on a high-end RV, but it's also rot-proof and tows down the road reliably. Sounds like they put they some money behind the walls, not just where you can see it.

I know build quality has been a consistent complaint from TT/5er owners for as long as I've been on this forum, so thought I would pass this along if anyone is in the market.

New startups may be the best RV builders.

I joined their facebook page. They are still getting issues with construction just like everybody else. The difference is the customer service seems to be better.

Small startups almost always have good customer service. Its when they get big that they cant keep up and it goes to ****.

We shopped them when we searching for a new fifth wheel earlier this year. I wouldn't call them totally new as I think they have been in business for at least a year and maybe two. The have a pretty complete line up of fifth wheels, not just one. We now have a dealer within an hour of us who carries them but when we were shopping there were not any models that interested us close enough to make it worth the effort.

Just based on my research I did not find them to be that much different than other manufacturers. Most use aluminum framing and have basically the same components. Instead of ducted air they use 3 non ducted a/c's on all their models. I'm not sure if that is good or bad but the ducted ac/heat pumps on my Pinnacle are really quiet. They did have some nifty ideas like putting shut off valves at all the faucets and toilet. Time will tell how it works out for them. Competition is good and I hope they are successful.

I'm thinking that the manufacturer who made the very best RV is no longer in business. IMHO there are more RVers who bought their rig for the best price than the best design & construction.
Horizons RV seems to make the `best'. I wonder how they are doing?
