It's that time to replace the recliner.
Not sure if the present one is real leather or not. Being a 2003 DP Providence Fleetwood, I'm sure it isn't.
So my questions is these new motor homes are now using ultra leather.
What are your comments on this fabric.
I saw that most RV furniture outlets only sell ultr leather.

All recliners for residential houses that I have seen will knock down for shipment. I would go look at a furniture store for a recliner that you like that has real leather. My Laz-E-Boy recliner is leather and the back is removable and will easily fit in through an RV door.

We too have to replace our recliners sooner than later. I made the mistake of leaving the back window shade up and the sun shining in caused the upper back cushion of one to deteriorate. Ugh! The other is fine and I'm considering just covering it for now till next year. Talked to our RV tech and he said any RV specific recliner will cost double and is no better. And, as already said, the backs of home recliners come off for easy entry.
As for ultra leather. We had in our last RV, a Komfort, pleather and it was super nice and durable. I don't know enough about ultra leather to comment.

We bought a pair of the Ashley Tambo rocker recliner and are happy with them (I should say, a review by link helped us a lot). First of all, they are good for tall people. Also, they fully recline to a flat position, which is important. As for the material, the faux leather upholstery is spill-resistant and wipes up easily with a damp rag.

I saw that most RV furniture outlets only sell ultr leather. If you like the recliner I would recommend that you have it reupholstered with the fabric of your choice. It doesn't have to be leather or faux leather. You could use a micro fiber material or other cloth that feels good. The choices are nearly endless and much cheaper than buying new.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

I'd go with a wall huger to save having to move the recliner out to use it.

We are interested in replacing out couch with two recliners. Two questions come to mind.
1. How to you fasten them to the floor, which in our case would the slide out?
2. How do you use the seat belts? Our couch is the only place for seat belt use other than the front seats.

I get notices from etrailer.com they supply equipment for trucks, trailers, boats and RVs. I just noticed RV recliners advertised for a good price, you might pull up their site and take a look.
