What is the real ,actually using it, curb weight of a late model 1500 pickup? The factory brochures give GVWRs and payloads, but the latter is not at all helpful if one doesnt have some ballpark idea of curb weight. I find one F150 owner weighing in at 6600; one online site suggests any where from 4900 to 5300 for a GMC. That's quite a range!
6600lbs for a F150 sounds more like the gross weight than the curb weight. I have a fully loaded 2016 F150 4wd CC 6.5ft bed and its curb weight is about 5,600lbs. I don't think that you there are enough other options to add up anywhere near an extra 1,000lbs.

I've weighed my last 3 1/2 ton Chevys and they've all been right around 5500 lbs.

Thanks all. Learned a lot. And Mooky and Lliddis Chevs really help with what to expect looking for a late model Chev or GMC.

My 2017 Crew cab f150 weighs about 4,950 pounds. It is a loaded XLT, 5.5' bed 4wd 2.7 eco boost. GVWR is 6,500 pounds so the payload is just over 1,500 pounds. Fords use a bit more aluminum in their half tons so I would expect the Ford F-150s would be a little lighter than comparable half tons from other brands.

Heavy trucks you all have. My 2000 C2500 wieghs 4800 off the line. Altho arou d 5300 with spray in line-x liner, a mesh walled ladder pipe rack...
I have three chargeable options. Auto trans tow pkg, hitch only at the time, trim rings.
Two others on here had 05 GM dually diesel crew cabs. One sighed 7200, a stripped rwd. My LS 4x was 7300, bertp, have not seen him post in awhile, his was a leather interior, it was somewhere north of 7700 sitting there empty.
So yes, it is possible for some rigs to have upwards of 500-700+ lbs difference between a very stripped model, and a full leather pkg with a diesel motor.
I've seen some red reg cab 1500s listed with 4800-5000 lb empty wts like my C2500. Crew cabs pushing 6000 lb full leather, power seats etc.

Why’s it matter? Counting how many cans of soup or beer you can put in the camper?
Trying to think back to the last time I cared what any truck weighed.....can’t think of any.
But if you want to know, look at the towing guides. They have curb weight or gvw and payload.
Bout as close as we can get without asking personal questions like how much does your wife weigh.

Fleet Ford specs show a 2020 F150 reg cab..3.3 gas engine..2wd..122" with a 4069 lb base weight.
Same specs shows a F150 supercrew..4wd..156" wb with a 5335 lb base weight.
Thats 1266 lbs difference so its not hard to see a fully loaded supercrew HDPP with its heavier frame all the options may weigh in the 5800 lb range. The F150 has three different frame material thickness and sizes.
Ram and GM 1/2 ton trucks don't have as many different size 1/2 ton trucks as Fords F150.
