If you have a L5P Duramax Don’t let them do the update for regens, mine used to to 4 to 6 hundred miles between regens, after the recall now 2 to 3 hundard miles

Does the GM let you know when it is doing a regen? Or do you guess based on fuel economy?

No, factory gauges don't tell you. I have my ScanGage set to display DPF%, so that's how I can tell.

You may need to drive it for a while as the new calibration may need some time to adjust.

That’s what I was thinking. The regen frequency may change as you get more miles on the new code.

The first year or two after buying my truck I was lucky if I saw 200 miles between regens. Now it frequently hits the 500 mile “Regen regardless of soot load %” limit.

or in drive at a stoplight. rpm is around 800-850 during regen at idle in park, neutral, or in gear.
