Remember it like yesterday. Junior high, playing basketball. What a terrible day.
It may not get taken down, but it may be moved.

friday afternoon 8th grade math class...Mr. Kakavas trying his best to ram binary numbers into our skulls full of mush. news came over the PA system. that was the end of that day as that was all we would hear until dismissal. walked home with my buddy Bruce and a couple of 13-yr olds speculating on what this meant. my sis and i spent the weekend playing monopoly on the floor in front of the constantly on TV. we saw the Oswald shooting and the Monday funeral (either no school or mom and dad let us stay home). that's how I remember it.

I was only 3 months old, but learned about it when I started public school back in the day.. I wonder if they even mention it to kids in History class these days?
I know they don't have any 'shop' classes anymore... What a shame..

I was a junior in high school walking home from school when a fellow class mate told us about it. I remember watching it over and over on TV because we had no school for several days. Saw Oswald get shot and killed by Jack Ruby.

Sitting in my dorm room at LSU waiting on brother to get out of class so we could go to lunch. He passed through lobby on way to room and saw it on TV.

9th grade science class. The principal sent a senior around to each classroom to make the announcement.
The school was torn down a few months ago.
I don't think it will get deleted. We're still allowed to discuss history on the forum.

I was living in France, going to a DND school. 9 years old. My Father was a Flight Lieutenant in the RCAF.
Walked home for lunch, found my mother bawling her eyes out. I remember it like yesterday, always will.
Tough day for everyone.

3rd grade, Alexandria Va. Dad career Army. They let school out early and put us on the buses. Rumor had it that the gorillas had escaped from Africa and were on a boat coming for us. I got home and little sis on steps playing with her barbies. Deadpan face she said, "a man died". I remember well.
