I use high pressure red chassis grease from my grease gun on the ball and heavy contact spots on the 1200 bars/10k trailer.
The truck gained 6 mpg and another 200 lbs of capacity

How long does that wax paper last?
I would think after one trip, short trip, the wax paper would have a hole worn in it pretty quick and then you are back to metal on metal. Is it still separating the metal when you take the trailer off the ball?
I tried plastic pieces on the bearing surface where the WD bars go, but that did not last long at all.

I use a little lithium grease on my bars. I’ve never heard of using wax paper. Looks to me like you’d have it wore through by the time you got out of the driveway. Just my thoughts, but I may be wrong.

Should I be greasing my weight distribution hitch arms and ball? If so, with what?
I suppose you could, I have never seen any concern or know anyone with issues. It’s not a bearing spinning etc .

Reese Grease...the same stuff I use on my ball and my stabilizer metal-on-metal touch points. Will help keep the ball from getting pitted over time. I know this from experince.
