Scammers have stepped up their game trying to get their piece of your stimulus pie..
Went from one scam call per hr to 8+ calls per hr with the "car warranty" and the "gas/electric bill rebate" scams.. Heck even now getting these calls on Sundays..
So be very careful of those scam calls..

Are these stimulus payments still considered tax rebates? I have a feeling we are going to have to pay these back at some point in the future? ![[emoticon]](http://www.rv.net/sharedcontent/cfb/images/eek.gif "eek")
During the first stimulus payments, I remember a line of people buying large HDTVs at super stores. Technically, I guess it is stimulating the economy, though not necessarily where its needed? I try to use my stimulus to focus on small or family businesses struggling as result of closure mandates.

My income is tax free and $600 isn't going to change that LOL
Course that is WHEN I get it....oh well done stimulated the local economy with all the bathroom remodeling I have been doing.
Tub to shower conversion....that pumped $3000 into the local economy for parts/components
Now I am building a picture frame for the large mirror above the bath sink area.
New towel bars/rings, light fixtures, grab bars still in Christmas Boxes cause I have to finish prep of walls/trim so I can paint (Man paint is expensive these days)
I'll keep the $600 cause I have stimulated the local economy enough for now
2 yrs ago I got so fed up with 'robo calls' I had the phone company put a 'No Solicitors' lockout on our home phones (landline cause cells don't work down in our area)
You have to Press 1 in order for call to go thru....computers don't do that so NO Robo Calls/Scam Calls/Solicitations etc
Heck sometimes I just pick up the phone and check if it is ON.

The VA told me that it is in the process of being resolved. I have The Hildago County Texas Veteran's organization helping. I also called another Veteran's group and I had a VSO call the VA on my behalf. I spoke the American Legion. The DAV told me if it isn't reinstated by Friday, to let them know. I will call the VA back sometime tomorrow. I found out from many years in the Army if you want to get things done, approach the problem from as many different directions as possible. That way if someone drops the ball, you still get things done. When I applied for CHAMPVA for my wife, the dept of veterans affairs said it would take a year. I went right around the corner in the federal bldg in Nashville, TN to the DAV. It was approved within a week. That's how you get things done when dealing with the government.

That's what I can't figure out. If you got the 1st one,why is it so hard to get the second? Same info,unless maybe some one moved or changed banks.
I got my second at 12:10 am first day according to my text that a deposit was made. Other half was 2 days later.

What does someone do who didn't get the first one either? I was going to tell her to go to the IRS Office.

Last time around I got the stimulus direct deposited into bank account
SHE got a check mailed to her
Both have auto deposits for SS
This time SHE got the stimulus direct deposited on Jan 1
I got a 'Economic Impact Payment Card' in the mail today????
I have to Call to activated it and select/establish a PIN in order for the card to be used.
Checked the IRS 'Get My Payment' and it stated a 'EIP' was mailed cause they did not have a routing number ?????????????
