I was just sitting here Reminiscing about my life so far....wow what a ride!

Strange how majority of life changing events were totally unplanned and yet all has been well.

Experiences I never would have thought I would have, life episodes I never could have imagined, close calls that I came thru.

Is it time for your medication or mine?

Yep
Like Slim Pickens at the end of doctor Strangelove it's a ride all the way to the end. Merely ending rueful that you can't take wealth with you, is a real loser. It's endless memories that count. It's the people who define themselves by their possessions that have it rough.

I can't do much reminiscing any more since my memory is so bad, but I don't think a day goes by when I don't say to my wife of 63 years; "How lucky can two people be "

Now when she starts talking about a years ago happening, trip or event, or some thing about one of the children, I have to tell little white lies and say- Oh yes, I remember that !

Luck is random, and I've had my share of good and bad. Yeah, money isn't everything, but I sure wish I had a lot more. I wonder if it would make it easier to give some away?
Next item on my bucket list is: avoid corona virus.

Yup - avoiding viruses was my New Year's resolution :-)

My life, too, has been a crazy tale of twists and turns; and I don't think I would change any of it. I'm proud to have overcome some "downs", and that makes me grateful for the "ups". When I'm on my deathbed, my only regret might be that I didn't camp more ;-)

If adversity builds character that is the reason I am who I am.
Without the Lords help I wouldn't be here.

Although eligible So far have not joined the stick and twiddle club. I am lucky as I stay active with outdoor hiking, camping and kayak fishing for my health and fun. Wish I could have done this full time many years ago. I love public lands of the west. Best gift I ever had. Cheers for the New Year.

Just when I think I have everything worked out, the Lord decides I need a new challenge.

I dreamed of traveling when I was young, the grandson of a sharecropper, in a small town in Arkansas. Well, my first real travel was to a place called Danang, RVN. Even that turned out well.

Traveling the US as a full-time RVers for the past 7 years has been the best though. Not carefree, but always interesting.

I think my best years were under 12 to about 20. They were mostly carefree years in the 1950's and 60's. I was also blessed to have 2 great parents; my dad was also my friend, besides a father. Dad died unexpectedly in 1975 at 57 years old. Mom passed more recently, almost 98 years old. My best adult years have been full time RVing, which I sadly had to give up following a stroke. Althoug hbeing handicapped, I have a satisfactory and happy life, with positive hope for the future.
I'm getting excellent care at the local VA medical facility. [emoticon]
