Any chance your fuel tank had some water in it? If that water made it to the fuel bowl that would kill the engine. Then if the fuel bowl was not cleaned out the water would taint what ever tests were done with auxiliary fuel supplies. This just happened to my riding mower.

Does your start/prime switch have a lighted portion to it?
If so, you may be able to get a code off that light by counting the number of blinks.
I don’t recall exactly how to retrieve the code but I’m sure someone will tell you or you can find it on the web. My RV is in storage so I can’t get to the manual right now.
This code could give you a starting point for troubleshooting.
