We're about 48 hours post 2nd COVID vaccination (Pfizer) and aside from very mild arm soreness we had no side effects. I had way more reaction to a Prevnar 13 vaccination last November.

Another bit of good news and seeing this all over.
The new administration has achieved double it's vaccination target of 1 million a day into 2 milllion..
Hearing from friends and kins being called earlier. And getting better batting average of getting one if they call mid afternoon for a chance of excess dosage.
Medical advisory is saying, is to get whatever is available out there although they are retaining the guidelines that if you get Moderna on the first dose, stay with Moderna for the 2nd.

Heard that side effect too from an in-law.
Mine was not so bad.
I had a worst one from flu shot the other year. Well, a one-day flu that got me back to bed for a day with body aches and slight fever..
Slept the whole day (not a sleeper but would be if I have an infection -- usually a tell tale symptoms for me).. That's why I'm watchful on the coming 2nd dose of Moderna on the 12th.

I had zero side effects from 1st Moderna...a little soreness that went away next day. Second dose coming up at the end of March. I'm pretty anxious about that.... the kicked by a mule scenario gives me the willies.
And...to make matters worse...I have a full on panic attack needle phobia. 7.5mg valium NOT enough to knock down the phobia. A doctor and paramedic had to monitor my heart rate and BP for awhile.
Thinking I'm going for either 10mg valium OR two very strong GRANDE margaritas. Maybe three GM's.
Any more info on second dose side effects???

Can I join you on the margarita(s)?
None here had a bad effects on their 2nd. I know, I'm monitoring too.
The kick-by-a-mule was a video from a medical doctor who is a front liner.
So my conclusion is on a good batting average on this site, if you are an RVers, you won't get a bad side effects. But a medical doctor...
Seriously, I hope you'll get calm with the margarita (valium and margaritas don't go too well) and won't have the kick from the mule -- or from the pharmacist, lol.

Sure! I do make a very fine margarita!! Mix from scratch too. I would not dream of mixing alcohol and valium...nope. Like living life with a functioning brain waaaaay too much!
Thanks for the reassurance... I hope I sail through 2nd dose.

I have had several episodes of anaphalactic shock from medications. Here are some hard-earned tips.
Bring a friend
Shock turns much of your body red. Especially chest and belly
Stay seated. Shock brings weakness and instability. Don't try to walk.
Administration of I.V. ephinerpherine brings relief almost instantly.
Don't imagine your way into an attack.
