I'm 81 years old, I'm guarding my card, and have 8 more days to go for my 2nd Moderna shot. I hope it goes as well as my first shot.
BTW my wife and I have decided to keep wearing our masks (and take other precautions) for ONE more year,....because we enjoy being alive.

And even past the 2nd dose. There is a strong indications that there will be a vaccinated or Covid tested passports required for traveling (some country are into negative Covid test or be quaranteed conditions for entry), dining out, etc.

Other than some pain at the injection site how long did it take for other symptoms to set it. I am looking at an all-day excursion. 250 miles including a doctor's appointment.

Mine kicked 3 hours, DW about 8 hours.

Pain kicked in about 8 hours later.


I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be Douglas Adams

RV-less for now but our spirits are still on the open road.

Getting my 2nd dose Moderna 3/29. Any good news on side effects? I just had a sore arm for the first one.

Me - slightly sore arm at injections site on both shots. Second shot, slightly dizzy in evening for one night, and a little tired for day or so. Nothing major, back to regular - normal after one day ...

From this site, seems the majority have only minor side effects.

However, for who got the kicked-by-a-mule side effects, medical journals and doctors said it is actually a good evidence that the body's, (ahem, mostly for younger folks) immune system works..

Got my second Pfizer shot yesterday afternoon. Slight soreness at the injection site but that's it. A bit more sore than shot #1, but not that big a deal.
