Heading to Utah in April, and have been looking into where we might wander. Rv.net has been helpful in this regard, but I've found little on the Wolverine Loop off the Burr Trail. Anyone here take their TC on the loop? If so, how was it? Thanks.

I drove the Burr Trail a couple years ago with a 1 ton dually, arctic fox 990. I didn't have any trouble on the main trail. it was a beautiful drive!

I don't know what the wolverine loop is specifically, but I did notice that some of the side spurs looked pretty sandy, and I wouldn't have taken my rig down them.
some of the roads could still be pretty muddy in april. even if it sounds safe, they recommend checking in with the rangers for current road conditions before heading out.

Never done it but always looking for a place to explore when I eventually get out there so did some quick checking.

Video showing a guy exploring the trails off the loop. Not much of the road but he did it in an Honda SUV so can't be that rough. Youtube video There are a bunch of other videos which shows it's mostly a nice road that is maintained somewhat decently. Clear can see grader evidence in most of the videos I glanced at.

The info on all trails doesn't mention needing 4wd so should be doable. All Trails

Lastly, I don't see it as a one way road so you can always turn around and retrace your steps.

We ended up not completing the loop. The road started getting narrow close to Wolverine Trail Head, and after hiking a bit the hour was late enough that we decided to back track toward some boon docking sites we had passed. The road was not bad at all compared to some others we experienced on this trip. It crosses and appears to even run inside a dry creek bed at several locations. Good advice to track the weather.

Wish we'd taken that.. Drove right past it.

I'd go with the "can always back up" plan. The roads out there were pretty good, pretty wide. There were several spurs we were eyeing that were tighter...but that was in comparison to the 'freeway' we were on. What a fantastic area.

Like Stevenal (above) wrote, check, move carefully. I'm curious too.
