Wow, the dealers in my area have the lowest inventory I have ever seen, and I'm a retired car hauler. I know there is a problem with chips, but right now each dealer may have only 1 or 2 3/4 ton or 1 ton trucks in stock. The bulk of the dealers lot is empty. Is it like this everywhere, just wondering.

When I got my F-150 in October the dealer had 2 F-250s and they said when they were gone they wouldn’t be getting any until after the 1st of the year. They were also getting sticker for them.

It is that way all over the US. If dealers have inventory, they are not trying to sell them. I am glad I got mine built in December.

Right. Things were shut down completely for three months, then retooled to produce ventilators (Whatever happened to those ventilators by the way? The news was, "Help is on the way! Lookit our heroes making ventilators!" Then, nothing.). When they could start back in on making vehicles they had to switch production back, tool up for new models, etc.. On top of that all the suppliers were shut down for three months, and their suppliers were shut down for three months, and their suppliers were shut down for three months... right on down the supply chain.

Things might be getting back to normal by this time next year. Just need to be patient.

A lot of dealers lots around here look like empty parking lots.

Can't recall the last time I bought off lot. Have been ordering vehicles for years. If I get a salesman that says "I found a car/truck in**** close to what you want. " i walk. If I spend 40 to 50 grand on a automobile I get what I want not something they want to sell.

Heck, DH and I were just talking about renting a vehicle and driving to Michigan! Kinda like trout fishing... hang out and see what floats by!

It's pretty sporadic here.
