So y'all can call me uneducated, stupid or whatever you like, but the 5th wheel we are looking at comes with nitrogen in the tires. Are there nitrogen pumps available? Can you mix it with air or just swap it over? Just seem weird to me.

You are breathing 78% nitrogen right now and, yes, it mixes with...air.

Pure nitrogen is more stable in pressure vs temperature.
Other wise it's 100% compatible with the standard 78% nitrogen mix that we all breathe.
Bottom line it's not a bad thing, nor is it worth any $ or favorable consideration in your purchase decision.
The cynical and skeptical side of me would just presume that the dealer bought a bag full of green caps and is spending $0.67 per RV to upsell with nitrogen in the tires....

There are nitrogen pumps but not really affordable for home use. It's a gimmick. Just use that 78% nitrogen that comes out of your air compressor and you will be fine.

+1. this question or one like it surfaces from time to time. bob is spot on. if the seller is using nitrogen as a selling point or to charge extra then i'd walk away.

gimmick
unless you are racing and having issues, so I doubt you are.. it would be better to use a stapler and tack a note to your forehead to not make life so complicated than to put nitrogen in tires...

As Bob said, regular air pumps home or corner garage use regular air, 78% nitrogen. As far as I am concerned, just another sales pitch. Maybe for a large jet planes tires or for a race car, but not for a regular street vehicle, rv car or ??.

Truck and one travel trailer I had, all had nitrogen. I use my air compressor to fill my truck tires when needed. Did the same with that trailer.

I see several haulers swear by using nitrogen in the commercial trucks and trailers. Same size trucks and trailers we rv with.
If I went back to hauling I would use nitrogen all around but for just using a truck for pulling my rv trailer regular compressed air works fine.
