Never underestimate a politicians ability to be stupid.
No doubt, something like this will happen in many areas over time. Technology will advance, some areas will expand, some will shrink, but the markets will determine what wins and what loses, a politician never should.

I would imagine one easy way around that is to have manufacturers label all gas vehicles as a 2029 model year.

Nearby dealers in other states will have a party. The other states will see and increase in registrations.

Yep. That’s how it is here. Plus your insurance company can disallow a claim if your insured for a place that is not your primary area. Might be dicey.

I can see no place where the Gov. has signed this into law. It was narrowly passed by the House and senate and is on its way to our idiot gov.
If so, the title of this thread is very misleading and flat out false.
