and that is why major parts of Or. and Wa. want to become part of the new proposed State of "Greater Idaho" which would stretch from the Wyoming boarder to the Pacific. I truly feel for all of those negatively impacted by Portland and Seattle politics.

I thought I’d avoid all this electric vehicle legislation due to my advanced age, however...

Grew up in Washington, back before it became infested with idiot politicians and others from the liberal states to the south.

Have family still living there. Brother will leave as soon as he retires. Sister kinda stuck. Sorry state of affairs. Doubt I will be able to return other than a short visit in my lifetime unfortunately. It is (or was) a beautiful state. I just couldn't live there with the current politics.

Just self-identify the gas cars as electric. The loons will be easily fooled by that.

Nearby dealers in other states will have a party. The other states will see and increase in registrations.

You can already save a lot of money by registering your car in a lower tax state. Though the thing that keeps people from doing that is that it's illegal, and has a significant fine if you're caught -- and if caught you need to register the car and pay the applicable taxes.

But in this case, you wouldn't have the option to register the car, and you probably couldn't get a transit permit, so you'd have to hire someone to tow it out of state where it can be sold.
