Who needs a BMI survey, who needs Doctors estimate, who needs a McDonalds opinion to relate to obesity in the USA?
I agree with OP even if it's not 83% YET!!
just watch a 1960's Andy Griffith Show, 1970's Columbo, 1980's Hill Street Blues, 1990's Friends....
LOOK HOW SKINNY EVERYONE WAS!!!!
There, my scientific survey is done.

It's all a plot by the insurance companies so they can have an excuse to raise their rates because they have to insure fat people.

This one we can survey with our own eyes, we do not need a 'study' to tell us.

Not sure if chicken McNuggets are bad for you,but where I haul out of they load 12-18 trailers a day at 41,000 lbs per trailer. And most loads stay in the south except for the overseas shipments.
If McD's and walmart shipments drop the economy is going to tank.

I'm 5'7", weigh 155 lbs, and am very fit. Technically I'm overweight. According to the doctor's charts, I should be 140 lbs. I don't think anyone who saw me would think I'm overweight though. Some of this needs to be taken with a grain of salt (but only a grain! don't want too much salt in your diet ...).

I've always been "overweight", Back when I was training and showing horses, I could pitch a #70 bale of hay to the top of the haymow - I was muscular! Since then, computers have come into my life, and my slide from "fit, muscular overweight" to "soft lazy overweight" has been directly proportional to my computer time.
However fat I might be - I have great numbers. Low-ish blood pressure, fantastic cholesterol levels, blood sugar in the normal range. So being overweight doesn't necessarily mean "poor health".
