We leave Wednesday to take the oldest daughter her husband and 2 kids for 4 nights. As of this morning they are calling for rain every day. Oh well that’s the way it goes.

It's been pretty gloomy here in the Texas panhandle. Thunderstorms last night and rain predicted all day today. Right now it's pea soup foggy,and would make for difficult driving unless absolutely necessary. There were even some tornadoes reported nearby. I moved here from Tucson, much against my inclination, about 6 months ago. I prefer the hot summers and mild winters there compared to the weather here in the high plains but circumstances compelled me to move. I prefer the weather in the southwest over any other place I've lived. [emoticon]

We have lovely weather today, sunny low 70s with a cool breeze. Perfect weather for putting in fence posts.

Here in eastern Ontario it's the driest Spring in 75 yrs. The farmers are hurting. Seems like everybody has a garden this year and watering like mad.

Its been in the 90s and gets down to the 70s at night. It has rained on every street but mine. The dry weather has provided me with a good crop of mangos and lychees. June starts the rainy season here.

It wasn't bad today-cool and cloudy but not cold. By dinner time it was gorgeous-sunny, clear sky and just a bit cool.


I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be Douglas Adams

RV-less for now but our spirits are still on the open road.

While not as nice a the calendar would insinuate, I was able to enjoy the long weekend getting woodwork done in between bouts of rain and snow.

The afternoon now is nice and sunny to enjoy a drink and recollect on fallen comrades for which we honor on this day.
We must not forget the fallen heroes for which we are able to gather, drink and eat with family and friends on this Memorial Day.
