I had just completed my grocery shopping and returned to my minivan. I just finished stowing my wheelchair in the van and was ready to sit in the driver's seat when suddenly my shorts dropped down to my ankles. Since I didn't want to attempt bending over for fear of falling, I stood there in full view for a moment, trying to decide how to pull the shorts back up. Fortunately, I didn't see any passersby but there was a woman in a vehicle that had a clear view. So I sat on the edge of the seat and managed to reach my shorts and pull them back in place.

These shorts were missing the drawstring, but had always fit before, although not as tightly as I would have preferred. Neither have they ever fallen down. Needless to say, I'm sure to wear shorts with a drawstring from now on. [emoticon]

Mr.ed ... be careful, you'll start a new trend in WM. Everyone will begin entering short-less.

A drawstring is a good idea. In some states you might have been arrested if that woman had called law enforcement.

I went to a cloth and fabric store down here and purchased black elastic band.

Then I got GOOP adhesive and genuine VELCRO strips.

Patch Velcro tips every six inches around the belt line of shorts

Strategically GOOP VELCO fabric on the elastic belt.

Length of belt and final tongue length of tongue swatch by individual size

Allow 24 hours for GOOP to set up

Remove the elastic belt before washing or drying to prevent heat deterioration.

Mexico Wanderer --- Wouldn't it have been cheaper to visit a Walmart men's clothing section and purchase a couple of pairs of new shorts which fit?

I wouldn't have been too worried about that happening in a Walmart Parking lot...probably never see the same people again

I was carrying groceries in from truck to house...distance of roughly 30'
Half way there both hands FULL of grocery bags my pants dropped to the ground.
Almost put me down but my cat like prowess I remained vertical, groceries in hand, pants at my ankles.

Hippy hop to porch...set groceries down and finally get pants back up

Before I could open front door...landline was ringing
Yep ...several neighbors called

Best thing to do.......relax and WAVE!

Is it time for your medication or mine?
