Honda says no...but you can. Many have and do do it.

Honda doesn't say NO for all combos, only certain SN ranges

if it's within the defined serial number range honda says yes. And my 2000 I bought in 2010, almost 10 years old is within the range and works well with my 2200

2011 Keystone Outback 295RE
2004 14' bikehauler with full living quarters
2015.5 Denali 4x4 CC/SB Duramax/Allison
2004.5 Silverado 4x4 CC/SB Duramax/Allison passed on to our Son!
