We try to catch the sunrise Easter service at Vasquez Rocks whenever we can. It's the location where so many things have been filmed, most notably were the many TOS episodes. There are tons of Hollywood trades workers who live in that area along with some great amateur talent, so they put on an incredible passion play with the resurrection climax synched with the sunrise. It's very dramatic, but my wife always cuts the tension with the same corny joke when she whispers to me and asks whether I think they'll substitute The Gorn for Christ this year.

And as for Vegas, we really loved the Star Trek Experience. Things in Vegas can be so cheezy, but I think they did a great job.

I wish I would have known about these auctions when they come up. Don't have any Trek related memorabilia. Only few props from 'Blade Runner' and 'Blade Runner 2049'.
It's unfortunate that many set pieces end up getting destroyed or otherwise discarded. Remember seeing photos of one of the Spinner police vehicles from Blade Runner just allowed to decay on MGM back lot years ago. I know that the Petersen Automotive Museum in L.A. has multiple Spinners and other vehicles from both Blade Runner movies on display. High on my list to visit.
On (another) side note, LucasFilm loaned for long-term a full scale X-Wing fighter used in Star Wars to the National Air & Space Museum in DC. I believe it won't go on display until next year, as it's currently undergoing preservation at the Udvar-Hazy facility in VA. It's in the restoration hangar, which I think is viewable by the public.

We are scheduled to visit Neutral Zone Studios later this month. I am an original trek fan who watched the premier on television in Sept '66. I have since infected both wife and son with the TREK virus.

Thanks and I agree!

As the kiddos say: "Kewl!" Watched the TOS original broadcast and became a fan for life.
I think I'll spend some time trying to find other "geek" and "geek wannabe" places to visit. Love the Air and Space Museum at the Smithsonian.
The Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins is always worth a visit. They have an SR-71 Blackbird on display and as far as I know the only museum that has one. You can see it briefly in the movie "Space Cowboys" where Tommy Lee Jones is chatting with his new girlfriend.
Still a sweet bit of engineering it could cruise at Mach 3.2 at 85K feet. And it still looks like a space craft from the future.
Did you know that bird could outfly a missile? More secrets of the SR-71 Blackbird.

For The Hardcore Trekkies
A full ship (4000 passenger) charter.........and it's sold out.
Wife and I booked a quick 4 day trip to the Bahamas in February and were puzzled why the same ship wasn't doing a regular revenue cruise in late February. My God, the Romulans & Vulcans seized it!

A number of the major stars will be on that cruise. No surprise that it’s sold out.

Not the only one on display.
SR-71s on display
Meanwhile, I'm adding Neutral Zone Studios to my bucket list. Been a TOS fan from the git go, and I don't care if one calls me a Trekkie or a Trekker.
