My power window on my drivers door has stopped working. There appears to be power to the motor however it seems to bind and moves only a little or none at all. I wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue. If so what was the solution.

You won't know till you take the door apart. Could be off track or a stripped gear.

Sometimes you can just pull the door panel and see inside well enough to see if there is a physical issue such as the window being off track and maybe even see the motor to see anything obviously wrong. It would be unusual for the window to get off track unless a bolt came out, but you could have a stripped gear in the motor. If you can isolate the motor plug, you can apply 12v to one side and ground the other to see if the motor runs. You may have to try reversing the wires too. If the motor isn't moving the window, it is probably a bad motor. With the one's I've seen, a bad switch usually is a work/doesn't work kind of issue. Unfortunately, replacing window motors can be a giant pain in the rear. Some are easy and some are crazy hard. You won't really know until you get into the door.

I would bet the window regulator assembly is shot. You will need to take the panel off to see what is going on, but broken or frayed cables on them are common. Hopefully there will be a part number on it so that you can get a new one if that is what the problem is. They are readily available at Napa, and they aren't difficult to change (I have done 2 of them on my GMC Yukon this year).
I believe Triple E is still operating at a reduced capacity so you may be able to contact them to enquire as to what regulator they used back then.
