We dodged a bullet. The eye was projected to pass 7 miles from us with us on the eastern side. The storm took a little jog to the east when it hit land and several more during the day. Finally when it passed us it put us on the western side and about 40 miles from the eye. While the trees are shredded trees and structures in good repair survived just fine. Our city runs its own power grid and testament to their hard work and maintenance we didn't even loose power. Unfortunately those just a few miles away are in bad shape today. Many lost their homes and some lost their source of livelihood. Many will be without power for an extended period. Often these are the ones who can least afford to take a hit.

RV-less for now but our spirits are still on the open road.
