We would like to stay in the Tucson area around Thanksgiving. Any recommendations on an RV park in the area?

I tried to get into the KOA in Tucson with a 40 ft motorhome for Thanksgiving, told no space but maybe if you have something shorter might be worth a try. It is a nice park and we enjoy being there when we can get in.

We spent 4 weeks at Cactus Country park 3 years ago. It's pretty nice if you can get one of the larger sites. Call soon.

Thanksgiving weekend camping is extremely popular with the locals in Tucson, so the best places have been booked for months. If you can avoid that weekend the best places for short stay are Catalina State park and Gibert Ray county park. Note the county park only has a few sites suitable for big rigs.

If all else fails you can usually get into the RV Park at The Pima County Fairgrounds. There is a organized park up front and many more sites scattered around the fair grounds. It's across the freeway from Cactus Country.
