We stay at North Beach Camp Resort. Great location, just a few minutes out of downtown but very quiet. Atlantic Ocean is literally across the street.

Well now, Cracker Barrel isn't a campground, so it's out.

The KOA on the island is nice. Relatively reasonable and a great location.

Ocean Grove is also nice, right across from the beach, but of course, a little pricier.

We have stayed at Northshore and the St. Augustine Beach KOA. By far, I recommend Northshore.

Free trumps campground every day of the week. There is nothing wrong with overnighting at Cracker Barrel.

Not saying there's anything wrong with it -- if that's your thing, but since the OP asked about campgrounds specifically, I assumed that's what he was interested in.

It's all good.
