Interestingly I had a axle/bearing issue complete with wheel fire that overheated the hub and caused a blowout.
Luckily I had zero body damage to the 5'er. The Sailun popped but did not disintegrate.
I chained up the axle manage to limp the rig back home 30 miles or so on 3 tires.
I did replace both the blowout tire and the tire beside it that carried the additional weight as we limped back home.
I would not switch tires brands due to any percieved or real problems with a batch of Sailun tires.

I am also on my second set of saliuns on my voltage TH. Got 6 years and about 35000 k on the last set. I did notice the Vietnam print on the sidewall. I hope they work out like the last set. I don't tow as much anymore as my boys are now 15 and 18 and do their own things more and more.
Of note, I found Bridgestone Blizzacks in the LT for winter tires for my truck and was amazed that they were made here in good ole CANADA!!!!

Sailun has announced a recall for the Vietnamese tires. Owners should be getting letters.

Sailun Tire Americas, Inc. (Sailun) is recalling certain Sailun, RoadX, Blacklion, Blackhawk, and Ironhead brand tires, sizes ST235/80R16 and ST235/85R16 with DOT codes 2020 through 4120. Due to a manufacturing issue, the tires may experience a belt separation. Belt separation could lead to loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash. Sailun will replace the tires, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed in December 2021. Owners may contact Sailun customer service at 1-844-281-9696.

Now you made me go look ....... St 235/85/16 about a year old.
Yep got 3 in that range, no answer at the number listed.

YES - NINE YEARS of use wasn't the brightest thing with a set of RV tires.. 5 maybe depending on how they are cared for and weight load and speeds towed at..
But to run a set of RV tires nine years you were lucky you didn't have issue your really didn't want

It's unfortunate manufacturers don't publish reliability and longevity data on their tires (for obvious reasons). As ChuckSteed said, running any RV tires 9 years isn't the brightest move anyone can make. Yet, I'm confident that there are some, OF ANY MAKE, that will make 9yrs or more. The issue is that percentages of surviving tires, again on ANY make, will go down with time.
Five years seems to be the consensus break-point where it's time to replace RV tires. Because we don't have data, I'll hypothesize that at 5yrs the survivability of good RV tires is somewhere between 98% and 99.8% depending on brand, and how you run them. At those numbers most of us will never have issues over our RVing lifetime. If you buy cheap china-pop's, overload them, and run them at 80mph that number is probably more like 5-10% but there probably are a few that might survive.
With good tires, and care, I fully expect that most can get well over 5yrs BUT the odds of catastrophic failures go up with time and most wisely don't try to squeeze the extra couple/few years out of their tires. If tire manufacturers would give us better statistical information we could all make better decisions, and maybe get a few more years out of tires but that isn't in the tire manufacturers best financial interest.
If you want to run your RV tires to 9yrs, good luck, but please don't drive next to, or in front of me, on the road...
