We are in the process of buying a new Winnebago View on the Sprinter chassis. In our previous RV's on the F53 chassis it was strongly recommended that a wheel aligment was done. Does that hold true for the Sprinter chassis?

If you're buying it new, it better not need an alignment!
Chassis couldn't be more different than a F53, glorified bread truck. Those sometimes need more caster dialed in. You have IFS and it doesn't need a thing except a driver and a place to go!

Any new RV should be aligned . The coach was added to the chassis . If you have it aligned as a ready to roll loaded unit, then your alignment would be most beneficial.
If its new then Sprinter should pay for it.

The only adjustments on a Sprinter is toe in/out. Only other way to adjust is camber with shims but you should never encounter a need to do this.
