I know the rule is to change tires between 5 & 7 year of age no matter the miles...but just how many of y'all do this?

Me. A blowout will likely cost well north of $10K IF there is no accident. Plus down time. 8 tires cost $4K and that's before the current inflation.

Those numbers are nonsense unless you’ve mistreated the tires. Goodyear and Michelin have a 10 year life but suggest annual inspections after year 7. Proper inflation, keep them washed, but more importantly keep them moving. Letting tires just stay put is probably the worst thing you can do.

Me too. I just don’t want an issue while on the road if I can prevent it.

I'd skew toward the upper end of that range 7yr but yeah, I've replaced tires with good tread left because they were old.

TV 6-7 years..TT 4 years. Blowout on TV did $3500 damage. I'd rather change them out than be on the side of the road.

Running tires after 7 yrs. is like playing at the Casino **** table. After rolling the dice 7 times your odds are pretty good that you are going to loose your $$$ at the table. Blowouts on tires can do some real damage and be costly. Going on a long RV trip i.e coast to coast on 7 yr. old tires would not be my choice!!!!

We usually put between 10-15,000 miles on our rig per year, so in 5-7 years it's time for new ones.

Did my last ones at 5 yrs. lots of tread but sidewalls were badly cracked. As others have said...cheap insurance.
